Description: This course is intended to explain basic computer hardware and software concepts and introduce the use of a window-based operating system and useful applications.  The applications will include word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation packages.  Students will operate microcomputers independently, organize related files and folders on disks, and produce professional looking documents, spreadsheets, databases and presentations.  They will be able to use and navigate the World Wide Web.
